Students enter speech contest by Debbie Perry
Two area students competed in the Bank of America contest with elementary level essays on whether a vote matters in the 21st century. Darren Wright 10 from Rio Bravo Greeley school and Valerie Payne 10 from Richland Intermediate earned finalist spots, with awards including savings bonds for top places and certificates for all participants.

Diabetes harms multiple organs beyond the feet including the liver kidneys and eyes. Diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma are common complications. early detection via dilated eye exams and laser treatments can prevent much blindness. Regular eye examinations are advised even if symptoms seem mild.

The schedule lists meals for Wednesday November 25 with turkey gravy over potatoes apricot halves jello whole wheat roll and milk. No school Thursday November 26.
