Home Accidents Kill More Kids Than Other Causes
Miss Emma Laughlin, a school nurse, told Maple PTA members that home accidents kill more children than traffic crashes, polio, heart disease, TB, or cancer. She cited preventability and noted four disabled survivors and twelve with serious injuries per death, with charts and a film shown. The program featured the school band, second grade songs, and a flag salute, followed by a district meeting announcement and social hour.
