Shafter High School will honor the Classes of 1933 1943 1958 and the class of 1963 during the Colonels versus Generals football game Friday evening An outline of each class will be read and several former members who still teach at Shafter High School will appear

Lew Woodard reports that the Shafter High School PTA executive board will meet November 19 at 3 30 pm at the high school.
Sponsored by the Shafter Lions Club the junior rifle group runs the California Hunter Safety Course under the California Fish and Game Department. NRA marksman and safety instructor Dick Scott trained over 400 students in Shafter earning Hunter Safety Certificates. More than 300 youths have joined the Rifle Club since it began with many earning sharpshooter awards. The highest NRA junior award is noted.

A Camp Fire leaders meeting was held at the home of Mrs James Hopkins with guests Mrs Marge Sugden and Mrs Camp Fire office. Preparations for the father tor box social set for November 19 at 6 30 p m in the Intermediate Cafeteria. A leader workshop is planned for November 26 at 9 30 a m at the Wasco Congregational Church. Alma Smith Mrs Loraime Christensen and Mrs Wilma Guenther were named to the nominations committee to elect a new leader chairman. The next Camp of Leaders meeting is December.

The PUC approves higher monthly bills for flat rate water service from 3.50 to 5.00 for residential customers after December 1. Meter rates stay the same. Business rates set at 7.00 minimum, motels 8.00. Sage Brothers, operated by Har on William, plans system improvements by year end 1964 serving Smiths Corners and North Shafler areas.
