Third annual Chili Ball aids Green Hotel restoration effort
The Chili Ball held October 28 at Community First Bank drew 120 guests to support the Green Hotel Restoration Committee. Art Charland and Fred Bailey led the Chile Blanco and prime rib dinner, with donations and patron gifts of $1,000 from several supporters, including Shafter Rotary Club and Marie Gilson. The event featured Bill Burton Trio and Joe Drew, and progress includes a new roof and ongoing interior work.
