Shafter High results show Stockdale and McFarland 1 2 in Kern County Championships. Shafter varsity girls placed fourth one point behind Ridgeview, with Nicolette Adalpe third and Cambria Tudor fourth. Boys finished second, 12 points behind Stockdale, led by Jesus Villalpando second in the race of the year. Upcoming SSL Championships at Wasco. Football seniors night vs Arvin Friday. kickoff 7 30. Shafter High School’s Colonels led 19-7 mid second quarter before Taft’s passing attack surged to a 35-27 victory. Taft rallied with Vaughn Richardson connecting with Autin Pendergrass on a 73 yard strike and a 23 yard TD run. Shafter showcased a balanced attack led by Josh Cabezuela and Kyle Millwee but could not hold late. Shafter hosts Arvin High School Friday at 5 p.m.
