Union Oil completes its fifth veer in the Shafter field with well 2-34 at 11 465 feet. Oil potential estimated near 5 000 barrels with gas roughly 1 000 feet per barrel. Completion ends an 11 month effort. progress included sidetracking and sand runs before final completion.
The article argues Proposition No 20 the Single Tax Sales Tax Repeal Act would lift land taxes nationwide in California by 150 percent over two years.
