Kern County approves Cool Parents ordinance to curb underage drinking
Kern County Board of Supervisors pass a measure to levy civil penalties up to 1000 dollars on adults who serve alcohol to underage persons. The ordinance enables fines, possible community service, recovery of costs and property liens, apply only in unincorporated areas with city adoption needed in 11 cities.
