Peterson called it a new venture to broaden recreation and culture, noting Kern has vast untapped opportunities. Other speakers urged continued Mount Pines road development, a western street in Keysville for film use, beach and Kernville park improvements, and a billboard plan to showcase mineral, agricultural, and recreation resources in line with state centennial celebrations.
