Shafter Student Completes Space Camp Training in Huntsville
Jason Dixon of Shafter completed astronaut training at the U S Space Academy in Huntsville Alabama. He participated in two simulated space missions using trainer mock ups of the Space Shuttle Orbiter European Space Agency Spacelab and a space station with a Mission Control program and 4 5 million simulators inspired by NASA facilities. Dixon read about the program in Boy s Life and requested more information. He and friend Myles Munroe flew from Los Angeles to Memphis then Huntsville, where he will earn extra science credits after writing a report on his trip.
