Almond hull sales surge in San Joaquin Association drive
Ed Halvajian, president of the San Joaquin Almond Association, said Spercenary hull sales exceed $65 per ton with $1,594 sent to him. One third of the Southern San Joaquin Valley almond hulls have been consumed for the 1976 crop year as Warren Carter noted alfalfa hay shortages could push hull prices higher. The association has offered large blocks of hulls for sale by members.
