Milburn D Cobb Named Postmaster at Independence California
Milburn D Cobb aged 37 was appointed Postmaster of Independence California on Monday April 23. He and his wife Pat and their four children reside at 303 Maple Shafter. Cobb has worked at the Shafter Post Office since January 1961 as carrier clerk and acting supervisor. He was recently officer in charge at Lake Isabella for six months and received a certificate of superior achievement from the U S Postal Service. He is the son of Mr and Mrs W C Cobb of Shafter. The family will move after selling their home.
