Shafter Merchants Plan Citywide Sidewalk Sale
The Shafter Merchants Committee met April 23 to finalize plans for a sidewalk sale along Shafter's business streets on Saturday April 28. Most merchants will participate with blocks of bargains and regular low prices in stores. Residents are invited to join downtown for the event, which organizers say helps counter gas prices. The committee is part of the Shafter Chamber of Commerce with monthly meetings on the first Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hutch's.
