1996 Cinco de Mayo Queen Crowned in Shafter
On Friday night April 26 1996 eight contestants vied for the Cinco de Mayo Queen title before a capacity crowd at Shafter High School Auditorium. Maribel Nolasco was crowned queen with Yeny Guerrero first runner up and Sophia Martinez second runner up. The queen and court will take part in Saturday’s parade and park celebrations at Mannel Park.
