Litany of lawsuits plagues Shafter officials in ongoing cases
The City of Shafter faces a wave of lawsuits since 1990 linked to the RTC facility. City Manager Wade McKinney and ex Chief Greg Greeson spent time in depositions in Sacramento and LA. Richland Trojan Band to get new uniforms
The Richland Trojan Band will hold several spring fundraisers to cover the $14,000 plus cost for new uniforms. Richland donations total $4,900, one third of the needed funds, with RLSD aiming to raise $9,600 more through bake sales car washes and March-a-thons. The ensemble includes 7th and 8th graders with some 6th grade honors, performs locally and at out of town events, and has seen members win honors at Kern County festivals.
