Cotton's vital role in modern technology linked to national welfare
H K Hallett president of the ACMI told the Spinner Breeder Conference that technology raises textile efficiency and sustains cotton's market. He urged industry to commit to the total economy, provide extra effort to keep cotton thriving, and balance benefits amid high costs and tax contributions. The conference notes textiles’ role in American growth and domestic cotton use exceeds nine million bales annually.
