Mother Daughter Banquet For G A A At Shafter High

The annual mother daughter banquet of the Girls Athletic Association and the Girls Letter Club at Shafter High School will be held at the Cawelo Motel Thursday evening. The program includes student performances with Joyce Bender and Mary Nell Edwards among participants. Dixie Mathis presides as mistress of ceremonies and Welcome to members and mothers will be extended.

Nazarene Church Revival Opens With McKisson Evangelists

The Church of the Nazarene on West Lerdo Road begins a revival meeting from March 26 to April 6 led by Rev. and Mrs. Delman C. McKisson. McKisson brings years of pastor and evangelist work plus radio preaching and singing. Mrs. McKisson, a pianist, will direct the special music.
