Auxiliary Members To See Initiation
A number of American Legion Auxiliary members plan to attend the initiation of 400 new members by Bakersfield Ritualistic Drill Team on April 24 at the Bakersfield Chapter. Mrs. Helen Hobson presides and read the invitation at last Tuesday’s meeting. An invitation to a tea by the Cheskckamay Blue Birds at 2:00 p.m. on April 5 was also extended. Mrs. Frankie E. Lilly was welcomed as a new member. Helen Hobson will represent the Auxiliary on a local welfare committee following a letter from Reverend W. S. Harper. Hostesses for the evening were Mesdamers Georgette Kadel, Marilyn Snodgrass, and Dorothy Suket. Mr. and Mrs. Donald McClain returned to San Diego after a two week visit with his mother, Mrs. Jessie McClain.
