Florez pushes two child protection bills in California
Senator Dean Florez unveils SB 707 The Child Protection Act of 2004 to create a State Inspector General for child deaths and require hearings with legislative and CPS officials. The bill bars four or more children under a licensed foster parent from also running a childcare facility and adds a facility grading system. SB 706 closes insurance loopholes for foster caregivers under the Foster Family Insurance Fund created in 1986.
