Richland District Tackles Proficiency Standards and Meeting Dates
At the Richland School District Board meeting on March 4 trustees moved meetings back to the first and third Mondays. The panel heard from Mike Svilich and Dr. concerning proficiency standards, noting many passing scores were lowered across 19 of 24 areas. The board kept the 70 percent last year as an alternative and formed a committee to review an instrument for 1980 81, with some staff forming IEP writing as a potential option for grades three six and eight.
