German visitors hosted by Kern County Friendship Force
George and Sandra Larson of Shafter host 33 Jena visitors through the Friendship Force of Kern County. The non profit citizen diplomacy group began in 1977 with 46 countries and nearly 100 thousand goodwill ambassadors. The week includes receptions, county supervisor greetings, tours of Eastern Kern oil and agricultural sites, and a farewell dinner at Rio Bravo Country Club.
