Youths On Shaw Avenue Murder Spawns Gang Link The Murderer Brought to Light
Witnesses recount a deadly stabbing on Shafter Street when 16 year old Marcopolo Rocha was shot in the chest after a gathering with friends. Three teens were arrested as investigators probe possible gang involvement. Police say Rocha died at San Joaquin Memorial Hospital after unsuccessful resuscitation efforts. The scene moved witnesses and neighbors to prayers as responders worked.

The airport district seeks safe drinking water after years of nitrates and Lerdo School uses bottled water costing about 20000 annually.
