Navy tests advanced cardiac care on five San Diego ships
Simpson helps shape medical change in cardiac care aboard USS Merrill and four other San Diego ships. The pilot program equips ships with an onboard acute cardiac unit, allowing real time monitoring and doctor guidance. Evaluations finish by April 1997 as training expands.
