Roger, a 1969 Wasco High graduate, attended Bakersfield College and works summers for Tackitt Trucking. Janet Bongberg and Tricia Anderson of Shafter travel London and plan to visit Europe, aiming to see Amsterdam and other sites before returning in August. Anderson is a San Diego State sophomore and Bongberg a Bakersfield College sophomore.

Mr and Mrs Jake F Bergen announce the engagement of their daughter Gail to Don Loveless both Shafter residents. Gail a Shafter High School and Tabor College graduate taught kindergarten in Fresno. Don a 1961 Shafter High graduate attended Bakersfield College Biola College and served in the army. He teaches at the Panama School in Pumpkin Center. The Mennonite Brethren Church of Shafter is reserved for the ceremony on August 29.

Tan Da Camp Fire Girls attended the 31st Annual Stage Door Rev ue at Standard School auditorium on June 23 as guests of Mrs. Keith Watson the unit guardian. Tahwana Watson performed in Acrobats Walking Happy and Canada and has participated for three years. Laura Barton and April Pierce of LuTa Camp Fire attended as guests. This was the second year for Tan Da girls and Mrs Bud Barton to attend the revue. It was the last trip of the year for the group and a leader is sought for next year with time for weekly meetings and occasional field trips.

Bride-elect Susanne Penner was honored at a Monday bridal shower at the Mennonite Brethren Church youth chapel.
