Shafter High band program ends a successful year
The 1988-89 Shafter High band program grew from 25 freshmen to a 70 member group under new director Kelly Bergen. Creative scheduling and strong school support helped maintain academics while expanding performances at Arvin, Pismo Beach, Disneyland, Dodger Stadium, and Santa Maria Parade Review, with several first place trophies and rising student pride.
