Foundation of the Church sermon at First Baptist
The First Baptist Church will host an 11:00 a.m. Sunday service with a sermon titled The Foundation of the Church based on Peter’s confession and church gates. A Sunday evening Holy Communion study will examine the scriptures on the meaning and purpose of the ordinance and invite all to bring a Bible. The article recalls Hernando de Soto’s May 26 1539 introduction of the pig to the Western Hemisphere.
