Informal Legion Auxiliary Unit 213 Meeting in Baehr
Iva Jo Fosdick presided over the Leslie L. Robinson Unit 213 gathering in Baehr with Nel lie Lassiter Elizabeth Buller and Ann Janzen among officers. Members included Julia Potter Grace Annis Mrs Bessie Brooks and Jeanne Hetherington with a Hawaii guest sister in law. Plans were set to assist the American Legion barbecue on Sunday July 3 serving cold drinks cakes pies and cookies. The Auxiliary ran the refreshments for the June 19 Veterans Memorial Hall event while Critterion played. Death Valley noted as hosting six hundred plant species.

Mrs. Frank Wisner leaves for Davis to serve as publicity chairman for California Girls State. Miss Martha Turner and Sally Armendariz join from Shafter High School for the opening on the UC Davis campus with Lt. Governor Anderson addressing the crowd and Governor Edmund Brown anticipated to speak during a capitol tour. Dr. Max Rafferty will administer the oath of office at the hour ceremony, with the group returning June 29.
