Babe Ruth League kicks off second round with two tense wins
In summer Babe Ruth action, Shafter Concrete edged Dewey's Floor Covering 9 1 in the opener after a five run first inning and a sharp late surge. The nightcap stayed tight as Concrete held a one run edge through late and survived Dewey's 11 10 rally to secure another one run victory. The pair of high effort games featured multiple players collecting key hits including Marquez Cruz and Bittleston with decisive RBIs and solid defense from both sides.
