The Shafter City Council orders work under the Improvement Act of 1911 with bonds due ten years from July. Prevailing wage rates and holidays are set by Resolution No. 85, requiring contractors to pay and penalizing underpayment, with bids due June 27 and a 10 percent bid security.
The City Council of Shafter reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The notice is dated June 13 and mentions blank page bids to be furnished to the City Clerk.
