Philip Janzent Janzen, 52, died after a bomb making crash near Burbank and Santa Fe Way last Friday night. Firefighters and sheriff bomb squad found a meth lab, $600 in meth, explosives, guns, and a small arsenal at his home as investigators probed the blast. Neighbors say friends doubt he sold the meth.
The CAP Summer Food Services program offers free breakfast and lunch to any child 18 and under who can eat table foods at the Shafter Youth Center from June 16 to August 15. No membership needed. meals served 8:30 to 9 a.m. breakfast and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. lunch at 455 E. Bachid Avenue.
