Santa Barbara summer program juniors win scholarships
Three Shafter High School juniors, Diana Delgado Anna Gomez and Maribel Gonzales, received full UC Santa Barbara Summer Program for Juniors scholarships worth about 900 dollars each to cover six weeks of dorm life room and board and fees. From June 17 to July 27 they will earn five to 12 transferable college credits and take classes with university freshmen while enjoying planned leisure activities. Eligibility relied on GPA and two recommendations while scholarship access considered financial need and a minimum 3.3 GPA.
