Two-Vehicle Crash on Central Valley Highway Causes Hour-Long Tie-Up
A June 3 collision at the corner of Central Valley Highway and Central Avenue near the Shafter Press offices blocked traffic for about an hour. A late model Chevy Silverado and an older Chevy Corsica collided. a child riding unrestrained in the Corsica was not injured. The Silverado then struck a recently replaced electrical power box. No confirmed injuries were reported by the Shafter Police Department, and details were limited.
