Festive May gathering at Green Hotel hosts jazz and fundraiser
About 80 guests gathered under a 100 year old oak at the Green Hotel in Shafter for an afternoon of dining and original jazz by NuMonet. Susan and Marvin Potter of Fresno attended with Harlin and Elma Wilson, sharing reminiscences of Shafter and the Green Hotel. The event raised funds for ongoing restoration, with cooks and organizers named, and a Shakespeare fundraiser planned by Bakersfield College under Randall Mesick.
