Shafter-Wasco District Eyes Central Valley Water Survey

Directors of the Shafter-Wasco Irrigation District met Tuesday in Shafter and accepted a no cost survey offer from the U S Bureau of Reclamation to assess water conditions and methods to apply Central Valley project water. Riddell cited 40 year zero interest for distribution lines to be built by the Bureau. Jacobsen urged county wide action to secure Central Valley water. John Schroeder presided with directors Annin Klassen Thiesen and Jacobsen present.
