The Shafter Aquatic Center at South Valley and Poso Avenues opens June 11 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. daily with evening adult swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $1 for ages 17 and under, $2 for 18 and over, seniors over 60 free.
