Richland Lerdo boards funds for school expansion plan
The Richland-Lerdo district approved a 150000 transfer from General Fund to Special Reserve to start a building fund aimed at future school expansion. Superintendent George Bury cites enrollment growth and hoped state matching funds. A Site Council plan led by Ron Adams and Janet Johnson introduces Sheltered English teaching and a Parents as Allies program with a telephone tree to reach 410 parents. Public hearing on the district budget is set for July 2 at 7 30 p m with enrollment at 2298 up from 2268.
