Shafter City Council to Seek Janitorial Proposals
Public Works Director John Guinn was authorized to seek proposals for janitorial services for city hall and the police department. The council also authorized cleanup of several properties at 221 North Shafter Avenue 128 Beth Eden 245 North Shafter Avenue and 401 Atlantic. A cost record will be kept and billed to owners who refused to clean up after multiple notices. The May Festival report praised city employees for handling the weekend details well. The next regular meeting is Monday June 8 at 7 p.m. in City Hall.
