The premium book outlines opportunities to win $47,808 for award winning exhibits. Fair manager Cy Allen notes the guide contains items for nearly every individual to exhibit in at the fair.
The 1974 fair attracted nearly 10 000 entries across 36 departments and 1 755 classes with $56 857 in premiums paid. Organizers note the 1976 First Annual Kern County Fair National Horse Show Classic to be held in April, boosting prizes.
