Officials of the poemed Oil company hailed Fink No 1 in the Shafter field as highly productive after completion on Tuesday night. The well bottomed at 11 448 feet with oil sand hit at 11 350 feet and initial flow exceeding 3 000 barrels as it cleaned out.
Belridge oilfield softball team travels to Shafter tomorrow evening to face the Merchants in a hot contest. Merchants counter with a solid lineup including Walt on and Ernie Neufeld on the mound. Infield duties feature Becker Annis Rodl Gaede or on with J Bieker and a bench of Cornie Johnny Schultz Harry Ninesere and Merkel. The visitors boast many pitchers and a strong stick, while Belridge has been strong locally. The game starts at 8:30 with managerial notes pending.
