Fatal triple crash on Highway 46 near Kicks Road
Three Fresno residents died in a high speed two vehicle collision on SR 46 west of Kicks Road early Saturday. A 2000 Toyota Solara carrying four westbound occupants failed to complete a pass and collided with a 1997 Ford Expedition from Salinas. one occupant was airlifted with major injuries. The Expedition occupants wore seat belts and sustained minor injuries.

Shafter Council Hears Public Input On Orchard Park Homes
At the July 17 meeting the city council approved Orchard Park a 440 home subdivision on 140 acres east of Beech Avenue between Fresno and Tulare with a five acre central park and varied home designs after a resolution zone change and general plan amendment. A second hearing covered a 1.54 acre site at the southwest corner of Tulare and Beech proposed as five single family lots.
