Parrett Completes First Phase of Air Force Basic Training

Rosales Serves Aboard Minesweeper USS Conflict
Billy J. Rosales seaman third class, son of Mr and Mrs Tony Rosales of Shafter, serves on the Navy ocean minesweeper USS Conflict with the Seventh Fleet in the Far East. The ship trains in mine sweeping operations including pinpointing mines dropped by aircraft, sweeping moored mines and recovering them.
