Randall L. Abbott Kern County Planning Director announced that the Year 2000 General Plan Final Draft and related environmental documents are now available for public review. Copies are at Kern County Planning Department offices for inspection and comment by residents and interested parties.
A hunter safety class will be held at the Shafter Police Department on Tuesday July 21 and Thursday July 23 from 6 30 p m to 10 30 p m. The instructor is John Pa certified and a former police officer who donates this program to the youth of Shafter. Attendance at both sessions and successful completion are required.
The University of Southern California School of Medicine seeks 30 to 65 year olds who had a first heart attack in the last five years for admission to the Hipidemia Study. First phase includes complete cholesterol workups, physicals, BP checks, blood tests, ECGs and chest x rays.
