Kern County officially received Recycling Market Development Zone status at a Board of Supervisors meeting. Jesse Huff of the Integrated Waste Management Board will present certificates to the county and its cities, including Lancaster in Los Angeles County. The RMDZ covers the entire county and offers incentives like low interest loans and one stop permitting to firms using recycled feedstock, supporting AB 939 waste reduction goals by 2000.
