J Charles Ohanneson a Shafter rancher and civic leader died after a long illness in a Bakersfield hospital. He was 57 and had lived in Shafter 26 years after being born January 24 1890 in Fresno. He held membership in American Legion Wasco Lodge Knights Templar and Al Makvah Temple. He survived by wife six brothers two sisters and his mother with private services held at Greenlawn Chapel and burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
