The First Annual Bakersfield Women’s Music Festival will be July 21 at Norris Road Veterans Hall in Oildale, starting at noon. Local women performers spanning country, pop rock, and more will headline, with an auction of crafts and merchandise to raise funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Battered Women, Rapé Hotline and the Bakersfield Women’s Network. Admission is a $4 donation, with advance tickets at several downtown stores and contact numbers for organizers Colette Powers and Dr. Jane Granskog.
