Services in Spanish at St Marks Church
The St Mark's Anglican Church at 295 Beech Ave expands to two Sunday services 10am English and 5pm Spanish to serve Shafter's Hispanic community. Esteban Salazar, former Roman Catholic priest from Mexico, will deliver the Spanish sermon while an Anglican priest conducts the liturgy. Salazar, 54, was ordained in 1979 in Mexico City, later married, and now pursues Anglican priesthood in the United States.
