Amtrak Collides With Truck on Merced Avenue

A Stockton man escaped serious injuries after an Amtrak train clipped his 2002 Hino tractor trailer on Merced Avenue near SR 43. The impact damaged the crossing signal box and blocked the westbound lanes. 82 train passengers were unharmed and the road remained closed for repairs.
