An ordinance creating Township No 16 for the Shafter area was passed unanimously by the county board, effective about 30 days after publication. Eightyearold Girl Mauled by Police Dog in City
Geraldine Dye eight, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ray Dye, was severely bitten by the police dog Limi owned by E H Dudley. Playing near Payne's store, she received three bites on scalp face and left arm while others watched.
