Inmate Foiled RTC Escape at Shafter Facility
Inmate Roberto Ramos, 27, failed escape from the Shafter Return to Custody facility around 9 15 p m Friday as corrections officers spotted him climbing the perimeter wall. Rodriguez hearing set after DUI arrest in Delano
Kern County Deputy District Attorney John Vlasic and defense attorney Rod Williams met for about an hour and a half in North Kern Municipal Court to confirm a January 31 probation hearing for Stephanie Rodriguez. The 32 year old Shafter resident was previously convicted in 1991 in a fatal Lerdo Highway crash. Witnesses, including arresting officers, are expected to be subpoenaed. The probation department will review evidence and advise the judge at NKMC.
