Two Superior wells stood cemented Tuesday at Mandell No 2 in Section 27 with sand encountered at depths around 1 700 feet. A derrick rose at Curtis No 3 in Section 28 while Burner No 4 near Section 27 shows poured foundations. Pasadena Realty's Section 33 project drilling continued at 11 010 feet.

Funeral Held for Mrs. Anna Thiessen at M B Church
Funeral services for 74 year old Mrs Anna Thiessen were conducted Sunday at the Moniteer Church with Rev J P Glanzer officiating. Interment followed at Shafter Cemetery. She had lived in Shafter 25 years, born in Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1903. Surviving are two sons Henry Goertzen and A C Goertzen and numerous daughters grandchildren and great grandchildren.
