Paul Paulden Named Kern GOP Chairman
Kern County Republicans chose Bakersfield attorney A. Cameron Paulden as chairman of the County Central Committee succeeding Arlis Cutburth who did not seek reelection. Bill Park was elected vice chairman and will lead grassroots activities as precinct chairman. Rosemary Powers serves as secretary and Francis Moore as treasurer. The committee approved a resolution urging President Nixon to support Reagan’s veto of the federal grant California Rural Legal Assistance. Also planned Lincoln Day Dinner in February and several committees were formed to streamline operations.
